We are a small, family-owned business offering wood signs lovingly handcrafted with attention to detail, Horsecreek Primitives is where you'll find home and office décor that speaks to the heart.
Our story began on our southern Illinois farm where I spent my days being a stay-at-home mom. Taken aback by the news that my coal miner husband's mine was suddenly closing, I knew I had to do something to make ends meet. This is when the idea for Horsecreek Primitives was manifested. With drive and a purpose, I set out to learn the ins and outs of woodworking, lettering, and painting. There were initially some setbacks and obstacles, but I persevered and pushed through the blood, sweat, tears (and splinters).
Though I was worried nobody would appreciate my artwork, I presented the first collection online with the support of my family. To my surprise, the response was remarkable! Blessed enough to have a growing fan base that has showered us with nothing but love, we here at Horsecreek Primitives hope you enjoy decorating with our handmade wall signs as much as we've had the pleasure in creating them.
